Clan Services

Services that the clan provides to the mud at large include, but are not limited to:

 

• NB - Newbie Bags. More info on this in the Newbie Section. A complete set of level 1 equipment, plus some handy items like the Swift Galleon and Sacramental Carafe

 

• CR - Corpse Retrieval. Many people die on the mud on a daily basis, but most of those are newbies who didn't know what they were walking into. If the mobs that killed you are aggressive, chances are they'll kill you again when you try to get your equipment back, and it'll be easier for them, because you're nekkid! So ask for a CR, stating where you died and what killed you, to make it easier for us to help you get back on your feet. Even if the mobs that killed you weren't aggressive, sometimes it's just hard to locate your corpse again. Don't hesitate to ask for assistance! Remember to be sure your corpse decomposes when you get your equipment back. If it doesn't, there is still gear left in it. You might need to quaff a detect invis potion to see it.

 

• SU - Spell Up. Ask any clan member (above level 50 or so) for a quick SU, a host of beneficial spells to strengthen you for your upcoming battles. Most NB's and CR's are followed by a SU :-)

 

• Newbie Tours - Sometimes clan members may offer to take newbies on a guided tour of the clan Temple, some newbie areas or the city of Aylor. Watch out for these announcements!

 

• Newbie Games - From time to time a clan member will host a trivia session, scavenger hunts, anagram contests, kidnap-rescue games, road rallies or something along those lines, themed specifically for newbies. Watch out for announcements regarding these, as quite often they go hand-in-hand with cool prizes!
